Berklee
Transfer Programme
The Berklee Transfer
Programme is the product of an exclusive curriculum
articulation agreement between Berklee College
of Music and the International College of Music
(ICOM). The Berklee College of Music is a world-renowned
music college in Boston, Massachusetts, the
United States of America whose alumnus includes
the leading Who's Who in the international music
industry, such as Quincy Jones, Bradford Marsalis,
Paula Cole, Bruce Hornsby and many others.
At present, ICOM is the only
college in Asia and Australia to have secured
a full articulation agreement with Berklee
College of Music which allows for an automatic
transfer of up to 60 credits for a bachelor's
degree, with the option of up to 12 majors.
Students spend an estimated two (2) years
at ICOM and two (2) years at Berklee College
of Music to complete their Bachelor of Music
degree.
ICOM is also the sole college
in South East Asia and Australasia to be included
in the Berklee
International Network (BIN), an
association of leading contemporary music
colleges throughout the world, including the
United States of America, Greece, Spain, Japan,
Korea, Germany and France. As a member of
BIN, ICOM students qualify for scholarships
valued at up to 50% of the tuition fees at
the Berklee College of Music.
Since its implementation
in 1997, many students have successfully transferred
their maximum number of credits taken at ICOM
to Berklee College of Music. A substantial
number of these students have been placed
in the Dean's List.
