Bachelor
of Music (Hons) in Professional Music - MP&T
Major
The Music Production &
Technology major is designed to prepare students
to meet the current industry standards in
professional music production. The coursework
is rigorous and challenges students to be
both independently apt in realising project
outcomes as well as being able to contribute
ideas, knowledge and skills while working
in a group or team. It also acts as a catalyst
for continued learning at graduate and postgraduate
level and enables students to adapt quickly
and efficiently to a profession that is filled
with change and challenge.
The MP&T stream
is a perfect blend of theory and practice
where students get to perfect their skills
by completing recording projects typical of
those found in the professional recording
and production environments. This will equip
you with sufficient knowledge of the principles
and practices of engineering methodology and
creative production techniques to adapt effectively
to the constantly evolving world of modern
music production.
